About Procoll

ProColl is a synthetic biology company that manufactures recombinant collagen and other high-value proteins at scale.

The founders had struggled to find commercially available collagen that gave consistent results in their research and decided to fix the problem. Once solved, the technology was spun out of Swansea University’s College of Engineering to build a business around it.

Today, ProColl supplies collagen to research, medical, cosmetics and food and beverage customers globally, manufacturing it in South Wales compliant with food production standards and ISO 13485:2016 certification.
